Although Covenant Title's agents have been doing settlements for years, they still understand that your experience of purchasing a home may be your first time, so you may not be used to the process. We care about our customers, and we try to make your experience with Covenant Title Corporation as smooth and effortless as possible, so that you are breathing easily at the settlement table, and your only thoughts are how exciting it will be once the property is transferred. Our knowledge and understanding of both the real estate industry, and your unique situation, will put you at ease as you sit at the settlement table.

What exactly is a title company?

A title company, like that of Covenant Title, is much more than just a group of settlement agents that show up at your settlement and have you sign the papers to get your house.

Title companies are usually owned by an attorney, who with the help of the other employees, examines the title to real property to make sure it is clear of any judgments or liens before the day of settlement.

One of the most important things a title company does is provide title insurance to protect the party's interest in the property.

On the day of settlement, the title company oversees the signing of the papers, transfer of the property and then distributes the funds.
